I'm still counting down the moments until Lala turns into bubbles, but Mori's cake-making after becoming the world's best feels like a proper proposal, doesn't it? The scenes of her opponent crying in confusion and the balcony turning into their little castle are so heartwarming—it's a story where feelings take the lead over logic, and I'm so relieved. The contrast between the human and mermaid dining tables, plus the movements of that giant knife-fish, are beautifully animated. It feels like the story is quietly pouring its heart out as it heads toward the finale. Even though Mori and Lala might part ways, I hope their promise holds strong against the bubbles and they stay happy for a long, long time. I can't wait to see how they face each other on land next!
