Mom’s killing intent is straight out of Gouki’s playbook, and I’m picking up on some serious yuri vibes from her expression, which makes the sleepover scene even more exciting. The格ゲーマー (fighting game players) are saying they’ll make it to the third day of the tournament, and they’re emphasizing the importance of sleep, so it’s reassuring to see them fighting while staying relaxed. Narita being from Chiba but having a Tokyo setting is pretty cool, and with elements from E217 and the original SF coming into play, that girl who defeated the King of Braves seems like she’ll be key. The nostalgic art style of the end cards is nice, but the unfolding events feel like you can hear a sigh of "I'm the worst"—I can't wait for the actual tournament next time! Remembering how she used to game too much and neglect her studies, I’m hoping she finds a good balance and grows from this experience.
