Everyone's Reactions

Shirotae turns out to be more of a fighter than expected, handling both close and long-range combat, which is such a relief to watch. The setting of an architect-type mage compressing sand and stone into neat squares to earn big bucks felt like a realistic skill-up, which was pretty cool. I also noticed the lazy girl's voice sounds a lot like Iroha-san from Wanpuri, and the director's comment about "impressions from other works" during the recording session was quite memorable. Seeing her fire magic reminded me of Magicians' Red, and the ghosts and monsters in the Nyanryu world have their own unique charm. I can't wait to see how the white cat and the lazy girl interact next episode; it feels like it'll have that warm, relatable vibe of middle-management worries.
