Watching Mama-nyan’s love explode every episode in this Mother’s Day special makes you want to scream at how adorable and doting they are. The winged guy is a hardcore cat purist who gets naturally tipsy on catnip, while the horned guy, despite being more of a magical creature type, still goes for catnip—both of them have such consistent cat logic that I love it. Plus, the lore about how street cats, castle cats, and forest cats have different cultures is so fun; did castle cats count cats as 'nin'? The world-building is packed into every little detail. But then Tole brings up his tail steak, and when someone points out how tough and unappetizing it looks, I suddenly get hungry.
