I'm so happy that Robo-kun, who just debuted, has already climbed up to #17 on the trends. With Marina Nagaoka voicing him, I can't help but wonder if he'll get a solid role next week. I was a bit surprised to hear that Shinichiro Miki voices the Explosive King. His character design looks like it belongs in Initial D, and with a seiyuu who fits that vibe perfectly, you really get pulled into that world. I knew about the trope of comparing grappled opponents to giant trees in fighting manga, but seeing them compared to a Yakusugi (ancient Japanese cedar) was something I'd never seen before. Watching it, I almost blurted out, "What are you doing?" (lol). Or maybe I actually did say it out loud. With Meguru running wild and Yuusuke Kobayashi's acting fitting perfectly, this was a super fun episode to watch.
