A Pretty Cure collaboration episode on Sunday morning, followed right by Digimon. Even though it’s 2026, I was surprised to feel like we’ve been transported back to the vibe of 1999. Back then, boys were into Digimon while girls watched Ojamajo Doremi, so seeing them paired up like this brings back such a nostalgic feeling. I’m so excited for MetalGreymon’s evolution next episode! After the cancellation frenzy from Brave Heart, that iconic scene where the Digivice shakes and the character ascends through the Crest before plummeting down is still top-tier. Even with Heisei-era animation quality, people say the 1999 art style will forever be No. 1, and it really gets my heart racing. I felt a bit bittersweet seeing Taichi and Sora finally get together after all that buildup, only for Sora to end up with Yamato. But thinking about Yamato’s personality, I guess he’s the safer bet for her future. Taichi saying, "Evolve quickly and become strong," makes even more sense now that I remember his past failure against SkullGreymon. It feels like he’s truly grown. I also love how ridiculously buff Etemon is! And I totally get the complaints about feeling short-handed without Hikari and Tailmon around. You just can’t help but feel more secure when you have the full roster.
