Satsuki's hard work echoes through the Rice Field Festival, weaving a prayerful atmosphere with the intimate distance of her voice!
I learned that the Rice Field Festival has been going on for over a thousand years, and it really hit me how the ancient traditions are still alive and well today. I absolutely love the way they portray Satsuki's nape and the close, intimate feel of her voice; she's such a hard worker, yet that slightly loony, endearing quirkiness is just irresistible. The scenes between Oniyasha and Kogane are so warm, and it's fun to see how her free-spirited behavior seems a bit unreasonable to everyone else. The longhouse storyboards and the witty subtitles for "Magwai is truly wonderful" really helped ease the tension while watching. The line "Everyone has their own strengths" fits each character perfectly, so I can't wait to see what happens next!
