Episode 12
A heart-piercing episode on the Kanze stage, where 'Shoshin' (Beginner's Mind) really hits home!
Everyone's Reactions
"Shoshin" is such a title that just feels like it pierces right through you, even before airing. Watching them carefully depict not just the nostalgic Kanze troupe but also the history of Tachibana and Kikutei makes you feel like this isn't just another period drama—it's truly about "returning to the beginning." The tension is palpable, from Hida being an ordinary person yet sitting in a high seat, to his witty banter with the important old men. It gets your heart racing! The development that brings Shirabyoshi into play also fits perfectly with the vibe of this world, which I love. It was mentioned that this is the story of the man who will later be called Zeami, and because we've seen how "Shoshin" takes root in his art, my anticipation for the finale is building up. With next week being the final episode, I feel like everything will come together at once. The interviews with Kamiya Jin (Ishiya) and Shimaoka Nobunaga (young Oniyasha) really conveyed the cast's feelings, making me a little teary-eyed.
