Episode 4
The station itself takes center stage! A spark of realization with the boy's voice, plus a dive into Ashio Copper Mine history—so much depth!
Everyone's Reactions
Episode 4 revealed that the Watarase Keikoku Railway started out hauling ore from the Ashio Copper Mine. I didn’t know that! Now, 38 structures including stations and tunnels are registered as national tangible cultural properties. Just riding along feels like carrying history on your back—it’s so touching. The direction of enjoying the station itself rather than just the tourist spots really fits this anime’s vibe. Details like the recreation of the Lawson ticket counter are great, and I’m imagining that if the story takes place around June, it must be the perfect season for it. Seeing Ushio and Kotama living in a university dorm adds an unexpected slice-of-life feel that’s quite heartwarming. Also, I was curious about that boy’s voice, and seeing everyone go “💡” makes me wonder if we’re on the verge of finding out who he is! It’s exciting. By the way, it seems the manga adaptation "Tetsushi! ~Tetsuryo-kai Activity Diary~" by TALI has been released. I’m looking forward to reading their activity diary from a different angle than the main story. Next up is Episode 5. There are so many elements left to see, like how rainy days play out and the in-train sales scenes. I can’t look away!
