Episode 8
The priceless Tangsui shines bright! Jann's straightforward battle turns the rules of the Daizen match on their head!
Everyone's Reactions
Jann's Tangsui is so well-crafted it even considers the judges' stomachs. It might look shrewd at first glance, but it's actually a victory of heartfelt sincerity, as the judges chose what they truly wanted to eat. Daizen's eel and lotus root coconut stir-fry has a weakness—it gets tough to eat as it cools down. It's a bit frustrating to have that exploited, but you can't help but think he just needs a bit more study. The Daizen match idea from the editor, the phrase "priceless Tangsui," and even the editor-in-chief's praise for it as a "surprise attack" all make you feel the production team's passion. I love Jann's wicked expression when he refuses to compromise, but seeing him balance cooking and competition with his "medicine and food share the same origin" mindset is becoming quite reassuring. I'm getting excited to see what kind of "malice" he'll brandish in the next match!
