When I found out Kamiya was playing 'Panties,' I couldn't help but chuckle. Seeing the pants, which refers to itself in the first person, snuggle up for bed is just so heartwarming. It was awesome having both Kugimiya and Hiyama on screen together—their 'Kugyu-style' banter was super cool! Kasumin from the original manga also made a solid appearance with her headband, and I'm really curious to see how they animated that iconic, shocking panel from the comic. The explanation for how the 'die-on-the-spot' type of ghost story spreads was incredibly smart, and there were plenty of fun little details scattered throughout, like the orange blood and the stick insect's resting spot. It was an episode you really don't want to miss. I'm looking forward to enjoying the next one at my own pace on the streaming service.
