It’s so cute that 'Puni-Puni Activity' has become a proper event name, even though they’re just enjoying the squishy cuteness. When Rico let her hair down for the first time in a while, I couldn’t help but exclaim 'Oh!' She’s also showing off new, slightly droopy-eyed expressions, and it feels like this character is really coming into her own. Seeing Masquerain acting all sweet with Rico is pure bliss; looking at her face being squished by the Puni-Puni Pokémon, you totally get why she’s both overwhelmed but can’t escape it. We also got an episode about Friedo’s childhood encounter with Charmander, and I thought his young expressions were really charming. Every time a new word or character pops up and I find myself going 'Wait, what did they just say?', it’s starting to feel like a regular tradition of this series.
