When Sachan reads Hikaru’s manga and gets so moved that she suddenly drops the honorifics to call her by name, it really hits home. It feels like their bond is deepening, which is heartwarming to watch. But then, back to normal the next day—probably thanks to her toxic mom vibes—which adds a touch of bittersweetness. I was also surprised to learn that Hebichika-sensei is actually her mom! And Akafuku’s S-rank defense against splinters had me laughing. Watching people who grew up in the relaxed atmosphere of Izu Oshima Island appreciate these small happinesses makes you want to notice the colors in your own daily life too.
