Thanks to a special illustration by Mr. Koshita, we learned that Misaka and Hiura are modeled after Kondo and Hijikata from the Shinsengumi, which made us all do a little 'gulp' at this decades-old reveal. Danpei's coolness and his unbreakable bond with his eternal rival really capture the heat of sports anime, and it's becoming clear that dodgeball is actually a pretty dangerous sport. The parents' actions seem to be setting up the undercard tournament, and even with some members dropping out, it feels like new strong opponents are on the horizon. With the Momoiro Clover Z songs adding to the hype, and the show streaming on Anime Times and dAnime, it's definitely making us want to rewatch. We're excited to see how the undercard unfolds, but keep your eyes on Danpei to see just how much stronger he can get!
