In the finale, they say 'Danzo’s battle has only just begun,' and even though it wrapped up in just 12 episodes, I’m already feeling that bittersweet reluctance to see it go. The scenes highlighting the Ichigeki family’s fiery spirit and their deep bonds were so热血 (hot-blooded) that I almost shed a tear. Ran-san’s storyline really hit home too. But on top of that, there were plenty of wild gags—like arms getting wrecked and dead people casually coming back to life—which felt totally committed to the bit. That balance was refreshing and awesome, making you wonder, 'Is this really okay for a modern anime?!' yet still delivering the goods. Having the OP play as an in-show song is such a classic trope, and it hit me deeply this time. It was great that the final episode wrapped things up with such passion. Looks like the stage will expand to the world next, with new players like the Light and Dark Hidden Dodge Organizations joining in, making the scale even bigger. Both the manga and anime seem to be continuing, so I’m excited to keep watching Danzo’s adventures unfold.
