The moment they realize it’s a curse, you can’t help but think, "A curse is scarier than poison!" It feels even more dangerous than in The Apothecary Diaries. Plus, there’s something both scary and amusing about how Reirin-sama accidentally creates gu poison with her innocent demeanor. Yaoming keeps saying "Please believe me," but no one listens... so you totally get why Reirin-sama snaps. Her line "I’ve had enough" hits right in the feels. The exchange when they cross the wall is great—Reirin-sama’s "If we use the same method, I’ll be left behind!" really highlights the difference in their personalities. Looks like we’re heading toward the climax next, and I can’t wait to see how Juanxiu and Yamei’s relationship develops.
