It’s true that the one who starts it all often ends up in the deepest trouble—Mebuki has completely fallen into her own trap with the investment battle she proposed. Seeing her dip into her tuition after already using her scholarship makes you feel the pain right along with her. Even though Yasuko and Kurumi are both crushing it with their EUR/USD trades, Mebuki is totally swept up in the frenzy. When I saw that “unfamiliar expression” on her face, I thought, “Yeah, that’s probably her,” and felt a bit sorry for her. She even smashes her laptop when things don’t go her way—making you want to yell, “Are you still a kid?” But it’s so realistic: college students with zero spare cash are literally living off their living expenses and tuition. Next episode looks like she’ll sink even deeper, so I’m worried about what’ll happen to her tuition!
