Episode 16
Asuka brushes off Saku's "It's the moon!" with a "Do it properly in ten years," and that intense vibe is just too much...
Everyone's Reactions
The finale of Asuka’s arc, saying goodbye to her distant summer crush, really tugs at the heartstrings. After eloping to Tokyo and returning for the tripartite meeting, she firmly decides to become an editor. I love how strong-willed she is, making up her mind regardless of what others say. The cute way little Asuka and little Saku call him "Saku-nii" was adorable, and the animation beautifully captured their growth year by year from fourth to sixth grade. The fantasy-like atmosphere of the shrine festival they only get to see during summer break will surely become a cherished memory. The scene where they compare the marble in the ramune bottle to being "alone yet as beautiful as the floating moon, just like Saku-nii" perfectly embodies the show’s title. And Saku’s "You are my moon!" was top-tier. Asuka’s tsundere side really shines when she says, "I’d rather die than accept a proposal like that, so if you’re going to do it, make it count in ten years." It’s super cute, especially with her parents’ heartfelt words of gratitude for believing in and supporting their daughter—it gave me chills. The next episode promises a new chapter with the sun lighting up our hearts. After this refreshing breeze, things look like they’ll get a bit more thrilling. I’m excited!
