Episode 2
The dragon's breath animation is so lavish it feels like cheating! But seriously, her casual outfit is... kind of ugly?
Everyone's Reactions
We've been buzzing about the non-credit scenes for both the OP, sumika's "Enburtorch," and the ED, Luov's "Role Playing Life." A lot of people are raving about the ED visuals, and you can really feel how rich the music production is. The title of Episode 2 is hilariously long: "Wearing Her Upgraded Clothes, She Gets Devastated by a Critical Hit, Becoming a Traumatized Lady in Private Attire Who Delivers a Powerful Strike." It’s so long it makes you laugh. Plus, everyone kept pointing out how her casual wear looks kinda dorky—some even said Lily’s style reminds them of those classic 'ugly-cute' casual outfits from girls' anime. That was kind of cute. The dragon's animation has been getting a lot of love for being so lavish. It’s also funny to hear that despite the manga being over 90% remade, the longtime readers are actually the most surprised by the anime adaptation—it made me happy to know that! Rain saying, "I don't really get it, but if Lily says so, I believe her!" shows how much she trusts Lily. It’s such a wholesome trait. Seeing her react with such pure sincerity, even when the serious moments don’t last more than a minute, is really comforting to watch. It was also nice to receive an episode illustration from animation director Daiki Takase. Having these little extras every episode gives me that extra bit of healing after I finish watching.
