Episode 175

Everyone's Reactions

Magnus has been grinding for half a year, and seeing him go from commoner to defeating Dante is pure 'unyielding spirit.' I really love the idea that his strength is basically magic itself. There’s a different kind of heat to Magna’s power compared to Asta’s 'never give up' attitude. Zora’s precision was cool too, and the animation quality went off the charts, giving me goosebumps the whole time. I’d read the manga, but this fight really benefited from being animated. The scene set to the insert song "Doodle Page" during Magna and Dante’s battle was great, and I always love when past OPs get used in-story. Next week is Episode 6, so I hope we get to see more of Magnus shining!
