Even though it's titled "Sekigahara," seeing Sasaki Kojiro called "normal" feels so very Baki-dou. I also love how the conversation between Funajima and Ganryu Island casually corrects those historical misconceptions. Honjo Ittosei's resolve is insane. When he said, "I must protect it...", I actually felt a tear welling up. Because everyone sees him as that quirky underdog in modern martial arts—a guy who lost in the first round of the grand tournament and serves as commentary—he shines even brighter with that kind of determination. I'm really enjoying how this series lets us laugh at the absurdity of the Baki world, from Miyamoto Musashi's murder suspicion to its quirky historical explanations. I can't wait to see what happens next week!
