Episode 41

Everyone's Reactions

All the Gold-Rank spies have gathered for the 'Gold-Rank Council,' and just hearing that Hyaku is so strong that physical attacks barely scratch her gives me chills. Still, it seems Kyokuro's threads and Taiyo's attacks can actually work on her, so seeing President Hai cut through them effortlessly with a cutter really makes you go, "Wow...!" The way she uses the apology press conference as an excuse to intimidate everyone, even going off on a live stream, feels extra scary in today's internet age. It's funny how her line "Love always wins" sounds so different when she says it; between her expressions and Yamadera's voice acting, I totally get why people are tweeting that everything Hyaku does is terrifying. Even though the Yozakura family got expelled, seeing Hitoshi-sensei's illustration for next episode gives me a little boost of energy.
