The OP animation is so damn cool it makes your heart race! The two gritty old guys and Chou’s acting are on point, and with the addition of comrade Loliya and Cafeine’s wall-sit butt, it’s absolutely top-tier!
With that fire OP and the silver-haired girl’s ED, you could really feel the production’s luxury in this episode. It wasn’t just all-out combat; we also got to see the daily life of the 203rd, which gave us a warm glimpse behind the war. Zettour’s speech was convincing, but knowing Lieutenant Tsurumi, it was fun to watch with a slightly skeptical eye. The characters’ expressions and acting are so alive they practically burst out of the screen, and the gag timing hit perfectly. I’m hoping they keep this balance going and let us enjoy both the battlefield and everyday life in the next episode.
