The Conqueror Emperor absorbing the five souls of the Baptized and equipping the Shield of Great Achievement looks super cool, kinda like a Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam. It would be epic if the final battle played out with 'Samurai Heart' blasting in the background. I laughed at the description of it being a huge-scale marital spat, but knowing there’s some family drama underneath makes it feel a bit heavier. I feel a little embarrassed now that I was watching with such high energy, all hyped up like 'Hubby’s losing his mind!' lol. I wanted to yell 'Wait, isn’t the protagonist just a monster now?!' when I thought he had his moment, but I’m relieved he’s back. It turns out it was all part of the plan, and the flow leading us to 'Trust in Ryusei!' connects perfectly. To think I’d see Maaya Sakamoto’s character pass away twice in just one hour... it really brings back memories of Ghost in the Shell. Since it’s the same voice actress, it leaves an even stronger impression. The moment the shield attached, I got this feeling that the tide of battle would shift instantly. My expectations for the next episode are already through the roof.
