I'm so glad they decided to make a second season. With that ending in the final episode, it's only natural to be curious about what happens next, and knowing the manga is still ongoing makes the wait feel much more reassuring. Watching him mutter "Why do humans betray their companions?" really resonated with me. Tsugai would never betray his partner, so it was genuinely frustrating to see the humans act that way. Gabu-chan's voice actress mentioned that she'd do anything for Asa, and watching this episode, I could really feel how warm-hearted she is beneath her angry exterior. The explosive finale with the stone adhesive sinking into the dam lake... that flow of events was a bit mind-blowing, wasn't it? I thoroughly enjoyed this season's two cour run, and I'm happy to know there'll be more. Plus, there's an online lottery for Gabu-chan's plush cushion, so the waiting period should be fun too.
