Chloe and Luminas’ first meeting was so cute, it felt like an otome game! Watching Luminas, who has lived for so long, slowly piece together her memories thanks to Chloe’s past leap was really touching. The shift from Velgrynd’s struggling self in the first half to the innocent Evil Dragon in the second half was fun, reminding me of her days when she was getting re-rolled. Having Hinata’s death as the trigger for Chloe’s rampage makes it easier to digest since the anime lets us reflect on it. Seeing Chloe interact with the townsfolk, I really feel like she holds the key to the world line where she becomes a Demon Lord. I can’t wait to see how her relationship with Luminas deepens in next week’s second half, and I won’t be able to look away during the half-month leading up to Velgrynd’s arrival.
