Episode 12
Shitara's cry cut to the core... The same old grassland, thank you.
Everyone's Reactions
The final episode is over and my heart feels so tight. I’ve been watching for about two months, but it’s already done? I feel like I’m going to burst into tears. Shitara’s cry scene seems to have been drawn with a fresh idea not in the original manga, but her voice really carried everything, and I felt like it struck at the very essence of Shitara as a character. Ogotai said, "If you get happy, I win," and Dregene replied, "Don’t think I’ll let you off that easy." It was such a strong declaration of not giving up; it straightened my back! Soloktani’s speech about rising again for his sons and telling the tale of the five arrows was beautiful. The person who worked on the key animation mentioned it was "a very happy time," so I’m sure it looked incredibly dignified and lovely. The manga is still ongoing, picking up from Act 26, and that character who made a cameo really caught my eye. I want to dive into the manga while this anime afterglow lasts, but for now, I guess I’ll keep thinking about those two in the grassland a little longer.
