It was a bit unexpected to see Karate's 'Breathing Style' (Iki) explained in a fighting game anime, but it made perfect sense once I saw it. The personal grudge radiating from the mesugaki senpai is intense; you can practically feel her killing intent as she refuses to let anything pass. Her playstyle of using up time and instantly striking when focus wavers was great, and Yuu-chan's concentration was impressive too, with her frustration really shining through. Watching Ayane get caught off guard and have her head cracked open made me blurt out, 'You too?' It’s amazing that she can still enjoy the match as a pro gamer, but what’s even more interesting is the sheer determination behind it. The dynamic between GEKIDO and Cafe au Lait handling their future rivals so well really hit home—I realized they’re both facing opponents who are growing alongside them. I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of 'play' comes next!
