The fig-scented smoke, expressed through kanji, really highlighted the distance between the two. Sasaki's kindness in choosing a warm drink over a cigarette, along with her first real conversation with Yamada, made their bond feel so couple-like it was heartwarming. Hoshiki Seina's voice acting was lovely too. Even though the volleyball broadcast got pushed back a bit, that smoke break behind the supermarket in the summer was truly healing. Even if the rating only went down by half, I can't wait to see what kind of smoke they'll share in the next episode.
