Watching Tetsuo chugging down drinks in front of the four-piece kaiju meat platter in Episode 13’s banquet scene just made me want to yell "Umyaa-i!" myself. Yukio getting bigger while getting caught up in the village chief’s bluff is super cute, but I felt like a lot of people could relate to Tetsuo’s doctor backstory. Best of all, the Season 2 announcement has us all excited for the next trial as they leave Mishima Mall and look forward to new companions. Hirakawa-san’s warm congratulatory comment really touched my heart, making this final episode feel so full of emotion. I can’t help but get butterflies thinking about seeing Tetsuo and Yukio take on the next challenge.
