Brainwashing broken by a humble bow!? The plot is surprisingly solid, but I just want to rant about the sheer audacity of Ancient Hittite poison.

It turns out that being able to break brainwashing with a humble bow actually makes sense, since it connects back to when they forced the poison out by making her kneel. But their quick decision to go with "just do a humble bow" is so funny. Empress Nakiya has played her cards many times before, but this time she switched to pure forceful action, which really shifted the momentum. Yuri throwing a full-blown tantrum and trying to return on her own terms is exactly what you'd expect—like shouting "You're actually going back!" I also liked seeing Ishtar's face light up with approval, as if to say, "Now that's how it's done!" Also, something I just noticed: the OPs for Season 1 and Season 2 are "Dawn Sky" and "Dawn Star," both keeping the "Dawn" theme. With Nana Mizuki's "Dawn Star" music clip out now, it makes me want to listen again.
