Hearing that Sato is a 'base-o-shiree' girl really resonated with me. I totally get that feeling of being drawn in despite her aloof attitude. That gap between her cold exterior and genuine warmth just makes your heart flutter. The scenes at the tapioca challenge and the rolled ice cream shop were a treat, letting us savor Sato's crying, anxious, and blushing expressions all at once. Her decision to drink the milk even though she didn't get any points was so self-inflicted that I couldn't help but laugh. The 'Are you my mom?' retort hit home too; hearing about her parents' love story in this way felt surprisingly unexpected. I wish we'd seen a bit more of Oshio-kun's hesitation; it made me want them to get even closer. If she had asked him directly, he definitely would have hesitated. The balance of being 120% sweet but with a salty kick fits the title 'Second First Love' perfectly. I'm looking forward to seeing Sato's subtle manipulativeness grow even more.
