Episode 12

Everyone's Reactions

It wraps up with a parody of the *Giant Killing* finale, and I cracked up when someone immediately shouted 'Isn't that Gaogaigar?' lol. Rewatching to confirm it's indeed a parody makes you go 'kusa' (laugh) all over again. The background is so dark that the Mixi sponsor logo is barely visible. It’s hilariously meta, though I wonder if the sponsors are feeling a bit lost? I love scenes where everyone bands together to save the heroine. Shura was also super cool delivering her lines as a rival. In the original manga, it seems like life just goes on for the high schoolers without much change, making you realize that momentum is key in comics. I’m glad the anime gives this arc a proper sense of closure here. Also, receiving Full Armor Akuryo-kun’s illustration from View-sensei felt like such a warm farewell for the final episode.
