Suzu-san’s summer memories episode had such a heartwarming yet slightly melancholic atmosphere, like an anime movie. It felt so different from their usual gag-comedy world that I totally get why people said it felt like watching a completely different series. I’m dying to know what happened to Eight-kun! Theories about him being a ghost or reuniting with Suzu-san at the Sanzu River are popping up, but since we still don’t have a clear answer, it’s a bit frustrating. I saw so many fans saying they want to see an adult Eight-kon again, so I really hope he makes his appearance someday. It was great news for us fans when Eight-kun’s voice actor posted about their involvement. Plus, Gre-san showed up, which got everyone excited just seeing their favorite character. It was a nice combo. Even though the plot had us tearing up, it still kept that classic *Butt Detective* charm with moments like farting and Eight-kun placing his chair in a wobbly, drunkard-like way. The heavy吐槽 (tsukkomi) on the smells also felt just right, giving the episode that signature balance of emotion and comedy.
