The unique personalities of the Nige-waka squad shine one after another, weaving together Kojiro's cool charm and the refreshing vibe of Suwa for a delightful debut!
Episode 3 was so much fun. The depiction of life in Suwa felt so natural, and the way the passage of time was conveyed through the cicada sounds leading into the line "You're getting used to it" really clicked. I could never get tired of it, but the OP's bold, Reiwa-era aesthetic—especially the combination of its atmosphere, font, and lyric display—perfectly captures that nostalgic early-Heisei evening anime vibe. I really hope they continue with Season 2! The Nige-waka squad is officially formed, and Kojiro's coolness is shooting up at a steep angle. I love how the story moves forward at a relaxed pace, from Lord Yorishige's satisfying chewing scenes and the sheer power of the priest's single voice commanding thousands of soldiers, to the sudden appearance of the wide-eyed guy and Aya's proposal to go hunting. There were moments that made me want to shout "Give me my meat back!" and the extra-heavy cast adds a nice flavor to it all. I'm looking forward to Episode 4 on May 8th! I can't wait to watch the steady, yet relaxed growth of the Master of Evasion and the Nige-waka squad from here on out.
