Nemi-chan is getting that 'wife' vibe, and Nezumi-kun just barges in with his huge group of friends without reading the room. But isn't he just so cute?

Nezumi-kun brings over a bunch of friends, including an elephant, and it’s hilarious how clueless he is about the space. It’s adorable because he’s so pure. Nemi-chan’s line, "Who said you could bring such a big one?", is so cute even though she’s scolding him. The anime version seems a bit milder than the original picture book; I can imagine her being even more stern in the book. I was totally surprised to find out that one of his shorter friends was actually a crocodile! Nemi-chan always manages to cook enough food for this crowd, and it really brings home that 'wife' feeling. The stomach capacity issue is real, isn't it? In the end, she wraps things up with a smile, saying, "Even though there wasn’t much food, thank you for the meal." It just confirms that the two of them are still so in love.
