The fourth generation's fluffy antics in the catnip field, Kurotama leaping away with his sibling cats on his back, and even the tough, resilient life force of the Scissor Grasshopper all tug at my heartstrings!
Just as I was getting used to the Fourth Generation's voice, he startled me again, making me blurt out, 'Ah, ow!' The Scissor Grasshopper is truly proof that 'as long as you're alive, even a scratch heals,' bouncing back with magic by the next day even if its legs or pincers fall off. I'm really loving the OP scene where Kurotama leaps out with his sibling cats on his back, and the 3D depth of the catnip field really shows off the animation team's clever touches. Even though it's an omnibus series with different characters each episode, the ending cards feel like little novels, leaving a lingering aftertaste. I'm excited to see how Kurotama grows and how he interacts with the cat who did the narration!
