Having the ED kick in right when he says "That is my name..." really hits you in the feels. It was such a heartfelt moment to close out the episode, but having it cut off just as the emotion peaks leaves you with this lingering, bittersweet feeling. The moment I realized that old Deus' VA is Tomokazu Sugita, the weight of the basement scene completely changed for me. His interactions with Hitogami hit even harder now that I can hear them in his voice. Also, the bit about Louie selling her dolls was hilarious—seeing the villainess get stuck doing kid stuff while her face falls was perfect. But what made it even better was how she just accepted it, like "that's what being a villain is all about." It seems they had to cram in the explanation for Aura since they skipped it in Season 2, so I can imagine it was a tight fit with the runtime. But glad they managed to get it in! Next episode is titled "End and Beginning," and I'm so curious about what old Deus will show us in the basement that I might not even be able to sleep.
