The surreal visuals of the Stone Age people combined with Masaki Hiro's sharp scriptwriting make for a great post-ED conversation!
Since Masaki Hiro wrote the script, the pacing feels like a comedy sketch, different from Urasawa or Yamato-san's style, which made me chuckle. The Stone Age villagers' over-the-top reactions add to the surreal vibe, and with Sugita and the other great cast members, it feels even more entertaining. The murder weapon being a stone axe feels particularly edgy compared to past cases, and the slightly off-kilter dialogue is a cool, unique touch for this episode. Listening to the ED "7 DAYS" while enjoying the surprise news that the next live event is in Fukuoka was a nice bonus. I think this was a light, fun episode that even got approval from author Gosho Aoyama, so you'll definitely want to rewatch it on streaming.
