The battle scene in the rain was so intense, and it was such a relief to see Otsuyari standing firm as a shikigami, guarding the Kudō no Tsubo with his 'I won't let you escape' declaration. Mao's honest monologue and her striking red eyes really stood out, and Nanaka's shy expression was so cute it warmed our hearts. I finally feel like I get the meaning behind the red thread in the ending, and the 'Jukai' song fits the story's bond perfectly. We were blown away by the modern-day attack, but we're so glad Nanaka is safe. I can't wait to see what other 'blood ties' are in store for us next!
