The first season recap just kicked off on TOKYO MX and YouTube Premieres. You definitely need to catch up now so you don't get left behind for the second half. I really appreciate how they show the mundane prep work for the Magical Festival instead of just magically fixing everything with a wave of a wand. It’s kind of an uphill battle—only 3,000 people trying to fill a venue meant for 5,000—but it makes you want to cheer them on. Hearing that a swimsuit episode is coming up has me hyped! It feels like we’ve jumped straight into the pre-live arc, so I feel like I can keep watching through both seasons without breaking stride. People have been saying there are lots of MamiOmaige (homages to Madoka Magica) since episode one, and as a magical girl fan, I love that respect for the genre. Plus, hearing that there’s a real reason behind the girls leaning toward black magic makes it feel relatable. Also, the voice actor for Kaze is still an active high school student! It’s impressive to see such fresh talent, and I’m really getting pulled deeper into this world.
