Episode 5

Everyone's Reactions

The "It’s startingaaaaa" energy right at the start of Episode 5 is super relatable. And that "There's so much crap in here!!" line? Absolutely perfect. Even though it’s such an un-ladylike way to put it, it feels so fitting for this show. Gandolf looks like they’re in for a rough time, and the title of the Magic Video Popularization Conference sounds so formal that I’m excited to see what chaos unfolds beneath that polished surface. People say Lelia Red’s reactions are always huge, and I totally get it—that gap between her horrified "Fghhh…" and her smug face afterward is just too good. Also, suddenly bringing up rock-paper-scissors and declaring she’s throwing scissors today? Why the sudden game show segment? (lol) Wait, using my own laugh there might’ve been a mistake. Now I’m curious why they brought it up out of nowhere. Seeing the end card reveal that line—"I wanted you to go 'Aaahn' for me!"—made me think, yeah, that composition really begs for it. I bet Mr. Maeyasu’s illustration is cute as always. The warmth of the CRT monitors, the waiting in the buff, and the viewers’ reactions are packed with variety show vibes. I really love this show’s atmosphere.
