Episode 3

Episode 3 kicks off with a special OP, and that little girl's chin flick is just so cool yet terrifying!

The special OP starts as an in-universe play, which makes perfect sense since the end of episode 2 said 'the curtain is about to rise.' The transition into the performance is handled really well. It’s more elaborate than usual for a special OP, making you want to rewatch it over and over. That gap between her being cool and scary is great too—she hits the chin right on target. When you realize she’s only five (not four), it gives you a little chill. I’ve gotten into the habit of watching until the very end of every episode to catch Niest playing rock-paper-scissors. I’m also looking forward to Maaya Uchida joining as Sharo for the White Party after-party next month. Plus, I love how the parenthetical '(no blood flowing tonight, hopefully)' feels oddly realistic.
