Episode 51

Everyone's Reactions

The title of episode 51, "If There Is No Bread," made me wonder if ergot is a fungus. Turns out it causes gangrene, which was quite surprising! Seeing something that's rotting from the ends but still usable really makes you hold your breath in tension. Right Jiao has that typical 'mob character' face because he's the head of the male attendants, but hearing how capable he is despite his looks gave me such a cute gap moe feeling. Cui Ling's name came up, and it seems Empress Aduo is in this episode too. I'm getting a bit excited to see those two interact again. Seeing Jiang Chan's trembling face made everyone gasp, and I probably held my breath right along with them on screen. I can't wait for next week!
