Watching Spica successfully predict the outcome and snatch the chick’s nest during the Ruby race really warmed my heart—she’s really grown up! Yuu’s blue flames look stunning, and her magic-powered physical strikes are so cool and intense. The birds charging into the mountain is surprisingly manly and made me laugh. Claude’s over-the-top tsukkomi keeps the dialogue rhythm fun, and everyone’s Buddies are super cute, especially when they turn into wooden Hinahime dolls.
