It’s amazing how Masamune Shirow nailed it by showing that the peace activists were right all along: despite over 30 years passing, their methods haven't really evolved. The Major's monologue really pierced my heart just watching it. And seeing the "The toilet is calling" scene properly animated in the show was such a joy! It’s so heartwarming as a fan to see these little original novel details get picked up. Togusa gets injured every episode even though he’s not fully cybernetic, which makes him seem kind of pitiful compared to the Major and Batou who take physical damage. Compared to the first half of the season, the pacing felt much improved, and I could really feel the production team's growth, which was a nice relief.
