A story about reclaiming something lost to Neo Britannia, set in Hokkaido, gives off such a warm and powerful vibe. The new recordings of Yukana and Jun's narration really doubled the nostalgia. The recap structure, where C.C. and Lelouch narrate like they're recounting history, is put together so well, making you feel the weight of the four seasons. It was also great to see the villainous Emperor Lelouch, the giant pizza from the cultural festival, and the tag game episodes all condensed in. The spinning shot during the shooting sequence felt so Gurren Lagann-esque, making me grin. I can't wait for next week's main episode!
