Episode 12
Julius declares Elsa an "irreplaceable family member," but while everyone else is gazing at the shooting stars, Elsa can't help but stare right at her husband! She’s completely won over in this heartwarming finale.
Everyone's Reactions
I heard the finale script was crafted with input from the main staff and both Mizuno-sensei and Misawa-sensei, and you could really feel all that love poured into this series. It made me so happy! The scene where Julius says, "You are irreplaceable family," really hit home for me. It connected with his inner feelings of protecting himself from the wounds of his childhood, bringing tears to my eyes. Since Yarmo was also an adoptee, he was searching for reasons to consider himself part of a family, and seeing that overlap in their longing for home gave this series such a warm feeling. Elsa, who can finally say, "This is the first time I’ve felt so excited," looks at her husband when she sees the shooting stars out of pure joy. It was such a happy, finale-worthy atmosphere. Rebecca’s awkwardness as she says, "I arrived too early," was handled so well, and Yamamura Hibiku’s acting really shined through. It seems the BD will include an original short story by Misawa-sensei, giving us a peek at the unexpected futures of certain characters. I’m glad this anime doesn’t end with just the show; I can’t wait to get my hands on it!
