Episode 5, 'Self-Steel,' has visuals so gorgeous that just watching it makes you happy. It’s especially nice seeing Tanjiro still relying on Water Breathing; it feels good because he’s found his reason to grow stronger, making his return to Tengen’s place feel even more heartwarming. Nezuko, while sleeping, seems to understand everything even without words, which is pretty amazing. It makes sense that she’s recovering through sleep, and there seems to be a connection between her and the tamahagane (steel). Plus, the Steel Mountain guy might not listen to others, but it’s fun to learn he’s about Tanjiro’s age, and the Master’s voice is so familiar nationwide, giving off a cozy vibe. The timing of the scenes with Kanao and Inosuke is also intriguing. Next week, with 'The Demon-Bearing Swordsman,' Tanjiro and Nezuko’s bond looks set to deepen even more. Both the visuals and the script radiate love in this episode.
