The showdown with my dad was a treat for any kendo fan, showcasing how the old man's sharpened sword and the grandpa's carefree style, despite sharing the same lineage, offer distinct flavors. It was so cute to see the tipsy Kuruni easily fall for her father's coaxing; I could just imagine the voice actor working hard not to get drunk on set! Professor Beryl's defensive magic and Mom's sharp glances were also super reassuring. Plus, the preview for the next episode looks hilarious, as if it's being completely hijacked by the thoroughly intoxicated disciples. This was a heartwarming yet thrilling episode that makes you want to rewatch it right away. I'm really curious where the old man and Kuruni will end up next!
